Should I wax or shave my hair down there?

I am 13 and i really don't want to ask my mom if i can get a Brazilian wax.. but i get terrible razor bumps when i shave and the hair grows back really fast, and when it does it is really coarse. It also hurts really bad when i accidentally rub it in the opposite direction of which the hair grows. I wondered if there is a wax i could buy at a drug store to wax down there.. but I might do it wrong somehow.. Please answer ASAP!
