Is Hollywood an extension of the Marxist propaganda machine in the U.S.?

Hollywood is full of marxists (you might call them liberals) from actors to directors who churn out crap year after year. A lot of movies have a political message that is often times anti-American. The marxists own the print media and they own the television media (except FOX) as well. Do you think Hollywood is an extension of the marxist propaganda machine?
