My 7 year old was diagnosed with Mulluscom Contagiosm right around 10 months ago.?

his physician informed me that this was a virus and that it will run its coarse within time... Since then I have taking him for a second opinion by a dermatologist because it is spreading and very embarassing to him. I have been told that they can be removed but considering he is so young and there is so many I really want this to be my last option.. Is there anything else I can do?
